40 day creative lent devotional

Creative Lent Devotional

Welcome to this 40-day creative Lent devotional journey. Over the next six weeks leading up to Easter, we will explore what it means to repent of our sins and draw nearer to God through daily Scripture readings, reflections, and creative activities. The season of Lent is a time of solemn contemplation, when Christians reflect on Jesus’ sacrifice and their need for redemption. Through this devotional, my hope is that you will strengthen your relationship with Christ and experience the transformative power of repentance in your life. Each day will include a verse from the Gospels, a brief meditation on the theme of repentance or faith, and suggestions for creative ways to engage with the topic – things like Scripture writing, Bible journaling, doodling Scripture, and reflective journaling. You may complete the activities in any order. My prayer is that this Lenten season renews your spirit through drawing close to God in humble repentance and strengthened faith in Jesus. May you encounter the loving forgiveness of our Savior each day. I hope this devotional adds meaningful ways for you to observe this holy time set apart for prayer, fasting, and seeking God. Let this 40-day journey toward Easter now begin. May the Lord bless your time spending each day with Him. God bless you, Janet Giessl

ABOUT OUR MINISTRY

We are a non-denominational Bible-believing Christian Ministry trained and equipped at the Christian Leaders Institute. Even though our Ministry is based on God's Word, the Bible, you need to approach our teachings like the Bereans and always study the Bible yourself to see if what we teach is aligned with what is written in the Bible.

Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Acts 17:11 NIV

We are only humans who 'stumble in many ways' (James 3:2) and we only 'know in part and we prophesy in part' (1 Corinthians 13:9).
