Welcome! Whether you are curious, searching for answers, or simply exploring, we are glad you are here. Let’s dive into understanding who Jesus is and what His mission means for you.

Who is Jesus?

Jesus is a central figure in Christianity, believed by Christians to be the Son of God. He was born over 2,000 years ago in Bethlehem. Jesus is unique because He is both fully God and fully human. His life and teachings have had a profound impact on the world, and His message continues to inspire and transform lives today.
  • Son of God: “And the angel answered her, ‘The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy—the Son of God'” (Luke 1:35, ESV).
  • Fully God and Fully Human: “For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily” (Colossians 2:9, ESV).

What Did Jesus Do?

Jesus lived a remarkable life. He taught about love, forgiveness, and compassion. He performed miracles, healed the sick, and showed kindness to those who were often ignored or rejected by society. Jesus’s teachings were simple yet powerful, emphasizing love for God and love for others.
  • Teaching About Love: “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another” (John 13:34, ESV).
  • Performing Miracles: “When he went ashore he saw a great crowd, and he had compassion on them and healed their sick” (Matthew 14:14, ESV).
  • Showing Kindness: “But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you. For you will be repaid at the resurrection of the just” (Luke 14:13-14, ESV).

What is Jesus’s Mission?

Jesus’s mission is centered on bringing people into a relationship with God. Here’s how:
  1. Revealing God’s Love: Jesus came to show us that God loves each of us deeply and personally. He taught that God is not distant or unapproachable but is a loving Father who cares about us. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16, ESV).
  2. Offering Forgiveness: Jesus’s death on the cross was a pivotal moment. Christians believe that through His death, Jesus took on the punishment for our sins, making it possible for us to be forgiven and reconciled with God. “But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8, ESV).
  3. Providing Eternal Life: Jesus promised that those who believe in Him would have eternal life. This means a life that begins now with a restored relationship with God and continues forever with Him in the new heavens and new earth. “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live” (John 11:25, ESV).
  4. Transforming Lives: Jesus invites us to follow Him and experience a transformed life. This transformation includes finding purpose, experiencing peace, and becoming part of a community of believers who support and encourage one another. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17, ESV).

Salvation Through Jesus

The most crucial aspect of Jesus’s mission is salvation. According to the Bible, sin entered the world through Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 1-3). Their disobedience brought sin into the human experience, separating us from God. Every person has sinned and fallen short of God’s glory (Romans 3:23). Sin separates us from God, but Jesus came to bridge that gap.
  • Sin Came Through Adam and Eve: “Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned” (Romans 5:12, ESV).
  • Jesus is the Only Way: Jesus made a profound statement about Himself, saying, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6, ESV). This means that Jesus is the only way to have a relationship with God and to be reconciled with Him.
  • The Gift of Salvation: Salvation is a gift from God that cannot be earned through good works or personal effort. It is received by faith in Jesus Christ. “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9, ESV).
  • Confession and Belief: To receive salvation, the Bible says we must confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead. “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9, ESV).

Why Does This Matter to You?

Jesus’s mission matters because it offers hope and a fresh start. Without Jesus, you will live a life separated from God and ultimately perish in hell. The only way to eternal life with God is through Jesus. There is no other way. No matter where you are in life or what you have been through, Jesus offers a way to find forgiveness, purpose, and a new beginning. His message is one of love and redemption, and He invites you to get to know Him personally.
  • Life Without Jesus: “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23, ESV).

ABOUT OUR MINISTRY

We are a non-denominational Bible-believing Christian Ministry trained and equipped at the Christian Leaders Institute. Even though our Ministry is based on God's Word, the Bible, you need to approach our teachings like the Bereans and always study the Bible yourself to see if what we teach is aligned with what is written in the Bible.

Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Acts 17:11 NIV

We are only humans who 'stumble in many ways' (James 3:2) and we only 'know in part and we prophesy in part' (1 Corinthians 13:9).
