The moment we believe in Jesus Christ, we receive the Holy Spirit. (Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 1:13-14). The Holy Spirit begins to change our life and transforms us to become more like Christ. The fruit of the Spirit is the evidence that the Holy Spirit is present in our life. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22–23 Without the Holy Spirit we can not inherit the Kingdom of God and receive eternal life. It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life. John 6:63 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. John 3:5 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.” John 3:6-8 If we do not know Christ and are not indwelled by the Holy Spirit, we act according to our sinful nature and become spiritually dead. Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians 5:19–21 Even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— Ephesians 2:5 For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. 1 Corinthians 15:21-22 And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience— among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. Ephesians 2:1-3 During our Christian life, we will experience a battle of our sinful flesh against the new nature which Christ gives us. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 2 Corinthians 5:17 We are all fallen human beings trapped in a body that desires sinful things. (Romans 7:14-25) However, as Christians the Holy Spirit will work in us to produce His fruit and with the help of His power we can conquer the acts of our sinful nature. I can do all things through him who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13 We will not be able to demonstrate all nine fruits of the Holy Spirit all the time but we should allow the Holy Spirit to progressively produce more of His fruit in our lives and to let His power work in us to conquer the opposing sinful desires. A life filled with the fruit of the Holy Spirit is what God desires for us and it is possible with the help of the Holy Spirit.

ABOUT OUR MINISTRY

We are a non-denominational Bible-believing Christian ministry trained and equipped at the Christian Leaders Institute. Even though our ministry is based on God's Word, the Bible, you need to approach our teachings like the Bereans and always study the Bible yourself to see if what we teach is aligned with what is written in the Bible.

Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Acts 17:11 NIV

We are only humans who 'stumble in many ways' (James 3:2) and we only 'know in part and we prophesy in part' (1 Corinthians 13:9).
