Weekly Creative Devotional

Opening Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, as we enter into this time of reflection and celebration of Jesus’ resurrection, we thank You for the hope and new life it brings. Open our hearts and minds to receive the fullness of Your love and grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

READING

Matthew 28:6

He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.

REFLECTION

Reflect on the profound truth of Jesus’ resurrection. Consider the impact it has on your life and your faith. How does the resurrection of Jesus bring hope and transformation to your daily living?

MEMORIZING THE VERSE

Commit  Matthew 28:6 to memory. Let this verse be a reminder of the victory of Christ over sin and death, and the promise of new life for all who believe in Him.

CREATING AND MEDITATING

Choose a creative activity: Option 1: Create an artwork that depicts the empty tomb and the risen Christ, symbolizing the victory of life over death. Option 2: Meditate on the significance of Jesus’ resurrection through prayer and contemplation. Spend time in silence, allowing the reality of the resurrection to penetrate your heart and mind.

TAKING ACTION AND APPLYING

Consider how the reality of Jesus’ resurrection impacts your daily life. How does it inspire you to live with greater faith, hope, and love? Look for opportunities to share the message of Jesus’ resurrection with others, offering them the same hope and new life found in Christ.

Hymn

Christ the Lord Is Risen Today

1 Christ the Lord is risen today, Alleluia! Earth and heaven in chorus say, Alleluia! Raise your joys and triumphs high, Alleluia! Sing, ye heavens, and earth reply, Alleluia!

2 Love’s redeeming work is done, Alleluia! Fought the fight, the battle won, Alleluia! Death in vain forbids him rise, Alleluia! Christ has opened paradise, Alleluia!

3 Lives again our glorious King, Alleluia! Where, O death, is now thy sting? Alleluia! Once he died our souls to save, Alleluia! Where’s thy victory, boasting grave? Alleluia!

4 Soar we now where Christ has led, Alleluia! Following our exalted Head, Alleluia! Made like him, like him we rise, Alleluia! Ours the cross, the grave, the skies, Alleluia!

5 Hail the Lord of earth and heaven, Alleluia! Praise to thee by both be given, Alleluia! Thee we greet triumphant now, Alleluia! Hail the Resurrection, thou, Alleluia!

6 King of glory, soul of bliss, Alleluia! Everlasting life is this, Alleluia! Thee to know, thy power to prove, Alleluia! Thus to sing, and thus to love, Alleluia!

Closing Prayer

Gracious God, we rejoice in the truth of Jesus’ resurrection and the hope it brings to our lives. May we continually live in the reality of this victory, knowing that through Christ, we have been set free from sin and death. ABOUT OUR MINISTRY

We are a non-denominational Bible-believing Christian ministry trained and equipped at the Christian Leaders Institute. Even though our ministry is based on God's Word, the Bible, you need to approach our teachings like the Bereans and always study the Bible yourself to see if what we teach is aligned with what is written in the Bible.

Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Acts 17:11 NIV

We are only humans who 'stumble in many ways' (James 3:2) and we only 'know in part and we prophesy in part' (1 Corinthians 13:9).
