Weekly Creative Devotional
Opening Prayer
Heavenly Father, as we explore the words of Micah, open our hearts to Your call for justice, mercy, and humility. Help us to live out these values in our daily lives, reflecting Your love to those around us. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
READING
Micah 6:8
He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
REFLECTION
Micah 6:8 is one of the most powerful verses in the Old Testament, calling God’s people to a simple yet profound way of life: act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God. These three commands are timeless principles for living a life that honors God and blesses others. Acting justly means standing up for what is right, even when it’s hard. Loving mercy means showing kindness and compassion, especially to those who may not deserve it. Walking humbly with God reminds us that we are completely dependent on Him for everything. Consider:- In what ways can you practice justice in your relationships and community?
- How can you show more mercy to those around you, even in challenging situations?
- What does it mean for you to walk humbly with God on a daily basis?
MEMORIZING THE VERSE
Reflect on Micah 6:8 (ESV) this week: “He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” Let this verse shape your actions and your attitude toward others and God.
CREATING AND MEDITATING
Choose a creative activity: Option 1: Create a “Justice, Mercy, Humility” visual reminder. Use words, symbols, or images to represent justice, mercy, and humility. Place it somewhere visible to remind you of God’s call to live by these values throughout your week. Option 2: Take a nature walk, using the time to reflect on what it means to “walk humbly with your God.” As you walk, meditate on the ways you depend on God and how He is guiding your steps. Allow the quiet of nature to deepen your connection with Him.TAKING ACTION AND APPLYING
This week, focus on one of the three key areas—justice, mercy, or humility. Make a conscious effort to either stand up for what is right, show kindness to someone who needs it, or approach a situation with humility and trust in God. Ask God to help you live out Micah 6:8 in practical ways.
Hymn
Humble Thyself to Walk with God
1 If thou wouldst have the dear Savior from heaven Walk by thy side from the morn till the even, There is a rule that each day you must follow: Humble thyself to walk with God.
Refrain: Humble thyself and the Lord will draw near thee, Humble thyself and His presence shall cheer thee; He will not walk with the proud or the scornful, Humble thyself to walk with God.
2 Just as the Lord, in the world’s early ages, Walked and communed with the prophets and sages, He will come now if you meet the conditions: Humble thyself to walk with God. [Refrain]
3 Just as the stream finds a bed that is lowly, So Jesus walks with the pure and the holy; Cast out thy pride, and in heartfelt contrition Humble thyself to walk with God. [Refrain]

Closing Prayer
Dear Lord, thank You for showing us what is good and for calling us to live justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with You. Help us to be mindful of these values in every aspect of our lives. Guide us to reflect Your heart in all we do. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

ABOUT OUR MINISTRY
We are a non-denominational Bible-believing Christian Ministry trained and equipped at the Christian Leaders Institute. Even though our Ministry is based on God's Word, the Bible, you need to approach our teachings like the Bereans and always study the Bible yourself to see if what we teach is aligned with what is written in the Bible.
Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Acts 17:11 NIV
We are only humans who 'stumble in many ways' (James 3:2) and we only 'know in part and we prophesy in part' (1 Corinthians 13:9).
