Weekly Creative Devotional
Opening Prayer
Heavenly Father, as we study the words of Paul to Timothy, open our hearts to receive the wisdom and encouragement You have for us. Help us to hold firmly to the faith You have entrusted to us and to live it out with courage and perseverance. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
READING
2 Timothy 1:14
By the Holy Spirit who dwells within us, guard the good deposit entrusted to you.
REFLECTION
In 2 Timothy, Paul encourages Timothy to stand strong in his faith and protect the message of the gospel that has been entrusted to him. This “good deposit” is the gift of salvation and the truth of God’s Word. Like Timothy, we are called to guard this deposit in our hearts and to boldly share it with others. By relying on the Holy Spirit, we can persevere in our faith even through challenges, holding fast to the truth. Consider:- What is the “good deposit” that God has entrusted to you in your life?
- How can you guard and protect your faith when faced with difficulties or temptations?
MEMORIZING THE VERSE
Let 2 Timothy 1:14 (ESV) encourage you this week: “By the Holy Spirit who dwells within us, guard the good deposit entrusted to you.” Memorize this verse and meditate on it as a reminder of your calling to protect and nurture your faith
CREATING AND MEDITATING
Choose a creative activity: Option 1: Create a “Faith Guard” journal. In this journal, write down areas where you feel your faith may be tested or vulnerable. Reflect on how you can strengthen those areas through prayer, Scripture, and reliance on the Holy Spirit. Option 2: Design a symbolic “shield” representing the protection of your faith. Use art, colors, and symbols that represent the spiritual armor you need to guard the deposit God has entrusted to you. Let this shield remind you of the Holy Spirit’s presence in your life as you face daily challenges.TAKING ACTION AND APPLYING
This week, take one intentional step to “guard the good deposit” in your life. This could involve setting aside daily time for prayer and Bible study, sharing your faith with a friend, or simply seeking the Holy Spirit’s guidance when faced with a tough decision. Trust that God is with you, equipping you to guard what He has given you.
Hymn
Send, O Lord, Thy Holy Spirit
1 Send, O Lord, Your Holy Spirit On Your servant now, we pray; Let him prove a faithful shepherd That no lamb be led astray. Your pure teaching to proclaim, To extol Your holy name, And to feed Your lambs, dear Savior, Make his aim and sole endeavor.
2 You, O Lord, Yourself have called him For Your precious lambs to care; But to prosper in his calling, He the Spirit’s gifts must share. Give him wisdom from above, Fill his heart with holy love; In his weakness, Lord, be near him, In his prayers, Good Shepherd, hear him.
3 Help, Lord Jesus, help him nourish All our children with Your Word That in fervent love they serve You Till in heav’n their song is heard. Boundless blessings, Lord, bestow On his faithful toil below Till by grace to him is given His reward, the crown of heaven.
Words: F. W. Herzberger, Music: Johann Schop
Closing Prayer
Dear Father in Heaven, thank You for the faith You have placed in our hearts and the message of truth You have entrusted to us. Help us to guard this good deposit by relying on the power of Your Holy Spirit. Strengthen our faith and give us courage to live boldly for You. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

ABOUT OUR MINISTRY
We are a non-denominational Bible-believing Christian Ministry trained and equipped at the Christian Leaders Institute and Axx Bible College. Even though our Ministry is based on God's Word, the Bible, you need to approach our teachings like the Bereans and always study the Bible yourself to see if what we teach is aligned with what is written in the Bible.
Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Acts 17:11 NIV
We are only humans who 'stumble in many ways' (James 3:2) and we only 'know in part and we prophesy in part' (1 Corinthians 13:9).
