Weekly Creative Devotional

Opening Prayer

Gracious God, we come before You with gratitude for Your unwavering faithfulness. As we delve into Your Word, may Your promises shine bright in our hearts. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

READING

Lamentations 3:22-23

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

REFLECTION

Reflect on the unchanging nature of God’s love. Consider a time when you experienced God’s faithfulness. How does knowing His mercies are new every morning impact your perspective?

MEMORIZING THE VERSE

Commit to memory the central part of the verse: “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning.” Let this truth be a source of encouragement throughout your day.

CREATING AND MEDITATING

Choose a creative activity:
  1. Create a visual representation of God’s faithfulness. This could be a sunrise, symbolizing new mercies every morning.
  2. Journal about specific instances where you have witnessed God’s unwavering love. How can you carry this assurance into your daily life?

TAKING ACTION AND APPLYING

Consider an area of your life where you need a fresh touch of God’s mercy. Pray for guidance and trust that His faithfulness will prevail. Actively look for His new mercies each day.

Hymn

Great is Thy faithfulness

1.

Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father; there is no shadow of turning with Thee; Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not; as Thou hast been, Thou forever wilt be.

2.

Refrain: Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see; all I have needed Thy hand hath provided: great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

3.

Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest; sun, moon, and stars in their courses above join with all nature in manifold witness to Thy great faithfulness, mercy, and love.

4.

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth, Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide; strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow: blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

Words: Thomas O. Chisholm, Music: William Marion Runyan

Closing Prayer

Heavenly Father, we are grateful for Your unfailing love and new mercies every morning. As we go forth, may Your faithfulness be our anchor, and may we reflect Your love to others. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

ABOUT OUR MINISTRY

We are a non-denominational Bible-believing Christian Ministry trained and equipped at the Christian Leaders Institute. Even though our Ministry is based on God's Word, the Bible, you need to approach our teachings like the Bereans and always study the Bible yourself to see if what we teach is aligned with what is written in the Bible.

Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Acts 17:11 NIV

We are only humans who 'stumble in many ways' (James 3:2) and we only 'know in part and we prophesy in part' (1 Corinthians 13:9).
