Weekly Creative Devotional

Opening Prayer

Eternal God, as we explore the less-traveled passages of your Word, open our eyes to the often-overlooked treasures hidden within. May this time of reflection deepen our faith in the beauty of your intricate plans. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

READING

Ecclesiastes 11:5

As you do not know the way the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a woman with child, so you do not know the work of God who makes everything.

REFLECTION

Reflect on the mystery of God’s works, as described in Ecclesiastes 11:5. Consider how, like the growth of a child in the womb, many aspects of God’s plans are hidden from our understanding. How can we learn to trust in the unseen workings of God?

MEMORIZING THE VERSE

Memorize Ecclesiastes 11:5. This verse reminds us to embrace the unseen, trusting in the perfect design of the One who makes all things. Let this truth be a guiding light in your reflections and daily walk with God.

CREATING AND MEDITATING

Choose a creative activity:
  1. Option 1: Create an art piece that symbolizes the unseen blessings in your life.
  2. Option 2: Meditate on the idea of trusting God’s unseen works, using deep breathing and stillness to connect with His presence.

TAKING ACTION AND APPLYING

Identify an area of your life where understanding God’s plan seems unclear. Trust that, just as the growth in the womb is unseen yet purposeful, God’s plan for that area of your life is intricately designed.

Hymn

My Father Watches Over Me

1 I trust in God wherever I may be, Upon the land or on the rolling sea; For come what may, from day to day, My heav’nly Father watches over me.

Refrain: I trust in God, I know he cares for me, On mountain bleak or on the stormy sea; Though billows roll, he keeps my soul, My heav’nly Father watches over me.

2 He makes the rose an object of his care, He guides the eagle through the pathless air; And surely he remembers me, My heav’nly Father watches over me. [Refrain]

3 I trust in God, for, in the lion’s den, On battlefield, or in the prison pen; Through praise or blame, through flood or flame, My heav’nly Father watches over me. [Refrain]

4 The valley may be dark, the shadows deep, But oh, the shepherd guards his lonely sheep; And through the gloom, he’ll lead me home, My heav’nly Father watches over me. [Refrain]

Words: W. C. Martin, Music: Chas. H. Gabriel

Closing Prayer

Heavenly Father, we embrace the mystery of your works, knowing that even when we cannot see, your plans are perfect. Grant us the wisdom to trust in the unseen blessings you unfold in our lives. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

ABOUT OUR MINISTRY

We are a non-denominational Bible-believing Christian Ministry trained and equipped at the Christian Leaders Institute. Even though our Ministry is based on God's Word, the Bible, you need to approach our teachings like the Bereans and always study the Bible yourself to see if what we teach is aligned with what is written in the Bible.

Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Acts 17:11 NIV

We are only humans who 'stumble in many ways' (James 3:2) and we only 'know in part and we prophesy in part' (1 Corinthians 13:9).
