Weekly Creative Devotional
Opening Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for the example of Daniel’s unwavering faith and commitment to You. Help us to stand firm in our faith, no matter the pressures or opposition we face. Strengthen us to boldly seek You in prayer and to trust You in every situation. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
READING
Daniel 6:10
When Daniel knew that the document had been signed, he went to his house where he had windows in his upper chamber open toward Jerusalem. He got down on his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he had done previously.
REFLECTION
In Daniel 6:10, we see Daniel’s courageous and consistent commitment to prayer, even in the face of a royal decree that prohibited it. Knowing the consequences, he did not shrink back or change his practice; instead, he boldly continued to pray, giving thanks to God, as he always had. Daniel’s faith was not dictated by external circumstances, but by his deep relationship with God.
This passage challenges us to reflect on our own prayer life. Are we committed to seeking God daily, even when circumstances are difficult or when others might not understand? Daniel’s example shows us that our faith must remain firm, regardless of the opposition or pressures we face in life.
Consider:- How can you be more consistent in your own prayer life, regardless of the pressures or challenges around you?
- What areas of your life need more intentional focus on prayer and seeking God’s guidance?
- How does Daniel’s courage in prayer inspire you to stand firm in your own faith, even when faced with opposition or difficulty?
MEMORIZING THE VERSE
Let Daniel 6:10 remind you to stay faithful in your commitment to prayer, no matter the circumstances:“When Daniel knew that the document had been signed, he went to his house where he had windows in his upper chamber open toward Jerusalem. He got down on his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he had done previously.”
Reflect on this verse as a reminder of steadfast faith.
CREATING AND MEDITATING
Choose a creative activity:Option 1:
Create a Prayer Wall or Prayer Journal: Dedicate a space in your home or a section of your journal where you can record your daily prayers. Write down your petitions, thanksgivings, and moments where you see God working. Reflect on how your prayer life is shaping your walk with God, and consider setting a time each day to pray as Daniel did – without hesitation or fear.
Option 2:
Pray with Purpose and Boldness: This week, take a moment each day to pray with the same boldness and faith that Daniel displayed. Whether you are in a group or alone, spend time in prayer, acknowledging God’s sovereignty and giving thanks. Pray for strength to stand firm in your faith, regardless of the challenges around you.
TAKING ACTION AND APPLYING
This week, identify one area in your life where you may need to be more consistent in seeking God through prayer. Set aside intentional time each day for prayer, whether it’s in the morning, afternoon, or evening. Like Daniel, commit to consistently coming before God in gratitude and supplication, no matter the pressures or difficulties you may face. Let your prayer life become a reflection of your deep trust in God’s plan and His strength to see you through all things.Hymn
Keep Your Windows Open
1. Would you fear to have your windows open Three times each day, If sinners saw that you were kneeling Three times to pray?
Chorus: Keep your windows open to’ard Jerusalem, Keep your windows open to’ard Jerusalem; Keep your windows open to’ard Jerusalem, And always pray.
2. Would you offer up a bold petition If well you knew That awful den of roaring lions Awaited you? [Chorus]
3. Would you kneel believing ev’ry promise The Lord has giv’n? Or thinking silent prayer sufficient For you and heav’n? [Chorus]
4. The lesson taught is not to offer A world wide prayer: ‘Tis duty first, and then the promise Of heav’nly care. [Chorus]
5. Then kneel at morning, noon, and evning, Nor ever fear That others who are unbelieving Your prayer may hear. [Chorus]

Closing Prayer
Father, thank You for the example of Daniel, who remained faithful to You in prayer, no matter the cost. Help us to follow his example, standing firm in our faith and seeking You daily. Give us the strength to persevere in our commitment to prayer, trusting that You hear us and are with us in all things. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

ABOUT OUR MINISTRY
We are a non-denominational Bible-believing Christian Ministry trained and equipped at the Christian Leaders Institute. Even though our Ministry is based on God's Word, the Bible, you need to approach our teachings like the Bereans and always study the Bible yourself to see if what we teach is aligned with what is written in the Bible.
Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Acts 17:11 NIV
We are only humans who 'stumble in many ways' (James 3:2) and we only 'know in part and we prophesy in part' (1 Corinthians 13:9).
