who is god

Does God Exist?

Man has always been interested in finding an answer to the question if God really exists. The existence of God has been discussed in many fields like science, history, and religion forever and people have come to different conclusions. Some people believe there are many gods, some people believe in one God, while others believe there is no God. The Bible, however, never attempts to prove God’s existence. Instead, it assumes that God existed from the very beginning. (Genesis 1:1) When we look at creation, nature, at us, and everything around us, we can see that God’s existence is conspicuous. Someone who doesn’t believe in the existence of God is a “fool” according to the Bible. The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds; there is none who does good. Psalm 14:1 The focus of the Bible is not on whether or not God exists but on His nature, character, and work.

Definition of God

It is most important to have a correct idea of God because any false idea of God is called idolatry (Psalm 50:21). While the Bible doesn’t give any definition of God in one place, “The God of the Bible is presented as the one supreme, all-powerful, and eternal Creator who exists independently of HIS creation as its sustainer and ruler. Although a single entity, SCRIPTURE REVEALS GOD’S nature as existing in three persons – FATHER, SON, and HOLY SPIRIT, the triune God. HE is omnipresent, meaning HE is not confined to space but exists everywhere at once. GOD is also omniscient, possessing complete knowledge of all things, and omnipotent, meaning HE has unlimited power to accomplish HIS will. In HIS character, GOD is described as perfectly holy, righteous, just, good, and LOVE without any flaws or ability to change. As LOVE, GOD desires loving relationships and sent HIS Son to demonstrate HIS great love for humanity. While being transcendent and greater than HIS creation, GOD also desires intimate, loving relationships with humanity. HE accomplished the greatest act of love through JESUS CHRIST’S life, death for our sins, and resurrection, to remedy the separation between GOD and humankind caused by sin and make redemption and eternal life possible. In summary, the biblical GOD is the one almighty Designer and Sustainer of all existence who perfectly embodies total holiness, justice, wisdom, power and LOVE as the triune FATHER, SON, and HOLY SPIRIT.” Below you will find more posts about God.

ABOUT OUR MINISTRY

We are a non-denominational Bible-believing Christian Ministry trained and equipped at the Christian Leaders Institute. Even though our Ministry is based on God's Word, the Bible, you need to approach our teachings like the Bereans and always study the Bible yourself to see if what we teach is aligned with what is written in the Bible.

Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Acts 17:11 NIV

We are only humans who 'stumble in many ways' (James 3:2) and we only 'know in part and we prophesy in part' (1 Corinthians 13:9).
