The Work of God
We don’t have a complete idea of God if we leave out His work. His work is based on who He is.
Here is a small selection of God’s work from the past, present, and future.
God created the world.
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1
Thus says God, the Lord, who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and what comes from it, who gives breath to the people on it and spirit to those who walk in it: Isaiah 42:5

God actively sustains the world.
And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. Colossians 1:17

God consistently works out His eternal plan.

God redeems man from the curse of sin and death.
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”— so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit through faith. Galatians 3:13-14

God draws people to Christ.
No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day. John 6:44

God disciplines His children.
For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives.” Hebrews 12:6

God will judge the world.
Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:11-15
