Weekly Creative Devotional

Opening Prayer

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the freedom and grace found in Christ. As we delve into Your Word this week, guide our hearts to embrace the fullness of Your love and walk boldly in the freedom You have given us. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

READING

Galatians 2:20

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

REFLECTION

This verse is a powerful declaration of identity and purpose. Paul reminds us that as believers, our old selves have been crucified with Christ, and our new lives are infused with His presence. Christ living in us changes everything: how we think, act, and approach life. Living by faith means trusting in Christ’s work on our behalf, not striving to earn His love but resting in the truth that we are already deeply loved. This faith empowers us to live for God’s glory, no longer bound by fear or sin but walking in the freedom of His grace. Consider:
  • What does it mean for you personally that Christ lives in you?
  • How does this truth shape your daily choices and interactions?
  • Are there areas where you are struggling to fully embrace the freedom Christ offers?

MEMORIZING THE VERSE

Focus on Galatians 2:20 (ESV): “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.” Write this verse somewhere visible – on a note card, your journal, or even a sticky note. Let it remind you throughout the week of your identity in Christ and the freedom you have in Him.

CREATING AND MEDITATING

Choose a creative activity: Option 1: Identity in Christ Collage. Create a collage using images and words that represent what it means for Christ to live in you. Use magazines, printouts, or hand-drawn elements to illustrate the transformation you experience through Him. Option 2: Verse Mapping. Use a Bible journal or notebook to verse-map Galatians 2:20. Break down the verse by key phrases such as “crucified with Christ,” “Christ lives in me,” and “faith in the Son of God.” Reflect on their meaning and how they apply to your life.

TAKING ACTION AND APPLYING

This week, intentionally live out the truth that Christ is in you. Whether it’s showing love to someone in need, stepping out in faith in a difficult situation, or spending time in prayer and worship, let His presence guide your actions. Trust that His grace is sufficient for every challenge you face.

Hymn

Crucified With Christ

I am crucified with Christ At the Cross of Calvary; Still I live, yet not I, But Christ in me, And the life which now I live Shall for Jesus only be, For I live by the faith of the Son of God Who gave Himself for me.

Words: Galatians 2:20, Music: Stanton Wells Gavitt

Closing Prayer

Lord Jesus, thank You for the life You have given us through Your sacrifice. Help us to live each day by faith, trusting in Your grace and allowing Your presence to shine through us. May we glorify You in all we do, and may Your love transform our hearts and lives. Amen.

ABOUT OUR MINISTRY

We are a non-denominational Bible-believing Christian Ministry trained and equipped at the Christian Leaders Institute. Even though our Ministry is based on God's Word, the Bible, you need to approach our teachings like the Bereans and always study the Bible yourself to see if what we teach is aligned with what is written in the Bible.

Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Acts 17:11 NIV

We are only humans who 'stumble in many ways' (James 3:2) and we only 'know in part and we prophesy in part' (1 Corinthians 13:9).
