Weekly Creative Devotional
Opening Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the victory of Jesus Christ over sin and death. On this Resurrection Sunday, we rejoice in the empty tomb and the living hope we have through Him. Fill our hearts with resurrection joy and help us to live in the power of Your love, now and forevermore. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
READING
Luke 24:6–7
He is not here, but has risen. Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and on the third day rise.
REFLECTION
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the greatest event in history. It confirms that Jesus is who He said He is – the Son of God, the Savior of the world. On this day, the tomb is empty, and death is defeated!
The angel’s words, “He is not here, but has risen,” are a divine declaration of life, victory, and hope. This means that no matter how dark the season or how final the situation seems, resurrection is possible. God brings life from death, hope from despair, and joy from sorrow.
This Easter, let us not only celebrate what Jesus has done but also walk in the power of His resurrection. Let it renew your faith, refresh your joy, and restore your courage.
MEMORIZING THE VERSE
Committing to Heart: Write out Luke 24:6–7 in your journal or Bible journal page. Try illustrating it with an empty tomb or sunrise in the background. As you write or draw, thank God for the victory and freedom you have because Jesus is alive.CREATING AND MEDITATING
Choose a creative activity:Option 1: Resurrection Collage
Create a visual collage or mixed media artwork using images of crosses, sunrise, tombs, and the word “Alive.” Let this be a joyful expression of your Easter praise.
Option 2: Resurrection Reflection Journal Time
Find a quiet space and write a reflection titled: “Because He Lives…” Finish the sentence in as many ways as you can. (e.g., Because He lives, I have hope… I am never alone… I can face tomorrow…) Meditate on each phrase and let it deepen your understanding of the Resurrection.
TAKING ACTION AND APPLYING
This week, share the joy of the resurrection with someone who needs hope. You could write them a short note, send a digital card, post an uplifting verse on social media, or simply say, “Jesus is risen!” Your joy might just plant a seed of faith in someone else’s heart.
Hymn
He Is Risen
1 Christ is risen, Christ is risen! Tell it with a joyful voice. Christ has burst the three days’ prison; Let the whole wide earth rejoice. Death is conquered, we are free; Christ has won the victory.
2 Come, you sad and fearful hearted, With glad smile and radiant brow. Death’s dark shadows have departed, All our woes are over now; Through the passion that he bore, Sin and pain have pow’r no more.
3 Come with high and holy hymning; Chant our Lord’s triumphant might. Not one gloomy cloud is dimming That bright glorious morning light Breaking o’er the purple east, Symbol of our Easter feast.
4 Christ is risen, Christ is risen! And has opened heaven’s gate. We are free from evil’s prison, Risen to a holier state; And a brighter Easter beam On our longing eyes shall stream.
Words: Cecil Francis Alexander, Music: Joachim Neander
Closing Prayer
Father God, Thank You for raising Jesus from the dead and for giving us new life through Him. Help us to live in the joy and power of the resurrection every day – not just on Easter. May our lives reflect the victory of Christ and point others to the hope we have found in Him. In the name of the Risen Lord Jesus, we pray. Amen.

ABOUT OUR MINISTRY
We are a non-denominational Bible-believing Christian Ministry trained and equipped at the Christian Leaders Institute and Axx Bible College. Even though our Ministry is based on God's Word, the Bible, you need to approach our teachings like the Bereans and always study the Bible yourself to see if what we teach is aligned with what is written in the Bible.
Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Acts 17:11 NIV
We are only humans who 'stumble in many ways' (James 3:2) and we only 'know in part and we prophesy in part' (1 Corinthians 13:9).
