Weekly Creative Devotional
Opening Prayer
Heavenly Father, Thank You for encouraging us to persevere, even when the harvest feels far away. Give us strength to keep sowing seeds of goodness, kindness, and faith, trusting that You will bring the right results in the right time. Keep us from weariness and renew our hearts with hope. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
READING
Galatians 6:9
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
REFLECTION
Doing good is often rewarding – but not always immediately. Sometimes, it feels like your effort is invisible, your kindness unnoticed, and your prayers unanswered. Paul’s encouragement in Galatians is both practical and deeply hopeful: Don’t quit.
The “due season” is God’s timing, not ours. Just as farmers don’t see crops the day they plant seeds, we don’t always see the immediate results of our obedience. But God sees every act of love, every step of faith, and every prayer spoken in secret.
When you feel weary, remember – harvest is coming. Don’t let discouragement rob you of the blessing that comes from steadfastness.
MEMORIZING THE VERSE
Committing to Heart:
“In due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” – Galatians 6:9
Write this on a card and decorate it with a small illustration of a seed growing into a plant or a sunrise over a field. Keep it somewhere you will see it daily as a reminder to persevere.
CREATING AND MEDITATING
Choose a creative activity:Option 1: “Seeds of Faith” Page
Draw or print a simple outline of a plant at different growth stages – seed, sprout, small plant, full bloom. In each stage, write examples of “good seeds” you can plant this week (encouraging someone, praying for someone, giving generously, etc.). Pray over each as you fill it in.
Option 2: “Harvest Jar”
Find a jar and label it “In Due Season.” Each time you do something kind or take a step of faith this week, write it on a slip of paper and put it in the jar. At the end of the week, thank God for every seed planted, trusting Him for the harvest.
TAKING ACTION AND APPLYING
This week, when you feel like giving up on a good habit, a ministry, or a relationship, remind yourself that God’s timing is perfect. Keep going.
Also, encourage someone else who is weary in their faith or service. Share Galatians 6:9 with them as a reminder that their labor in the Lord is never in vain.
Hymn
Go, Labor On: Spend And Be Spent
1 Go, labor on; spend, and be spent, thy joy to do the Father’s will; it is the way the Master went; should not the servant tread it still?
2 Go, labor on; ’tis not for naught; thine earthly loss is heav’nly gain; men heed thee, love thee, praise thee not; the Master praises- what are men?
3 Go, labor on; enough while here if He shall praise thee, if He deign thy willing heart to mark and cheer; no toil for Him shall be in vain.
4 Go, labor on while it is day: the world’s dark night is hast’ning on. Speed, speed thy work, cast sloth away; It is not thus that souls are won.
5 Toil on, faint not, keep watch and pray; be wise the erring soul to win; go forth into the world’s highway, compel the wand’rer to come in.
6 Toil on, and in thy toil rejoice; for toil comes rest, for exile home; soon shalt thou hear the Bridegroom’s voice, the midnight peal, “Behold, I come.”

Closing Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the promise that our work for You is not wasted. Help us to keep sowing good seeds, even when we can’t yet see the harvest. Fill our hearts with endurance, our minds with hope, and our hands with diligence. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
If you have been blessed by this Creative Devotional, please share it with others. Many thanks. God bless you!

ABOUT OUR MINISTRY
We are a non-denominational Bible-believing Christian Ministry trained and equipped at the Christian Leaders Institute and Axx Bible College. Even though our Ministry is based on God's Word, the Bible, you need to approach our teachings like the Bereans and always study the Bible yourself to see if what we teach is aligned with what is written in the Bible.
Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Acts 17:11 NIV
We are only humans who 'stumble in many ways' (James 3:2) and we only 'know in part and we prophesy in part' (1 Corinthians 13:9).
