Weekly Creative Devotional
Opening Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of Your Word and the guidance it provides. As we meditate on Your truth this week, teach us to choose life by loving You, obeying Your commands, and walking in Your ways. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
READING
Deuteronomy 30:19
I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live.
REFLECTION
Moses presents the Israelites with a profound choice: life or death, blessing or cursing. This choice isn’t merely about survival; it’s about aligning with God’s will, obeying His commands, and finding fullness of life in Him. Choosing life means committing to love God wholeheartedly, walk in His ways, and pass on this legacy of faith to future generations. In our daily lives, we face countless decisions, big and small. Each choice is an opportunity to align ourselves with God’s purposes or stray from His path. The call to “choose life” invites us to live with intentionality, prioritizing what truly matters: faith, obedience, and love for God. Consider:- What does “choosing life” look like in your daily walk with God?
- Are there areas in your life where you need to realign your choices with God’s Word?
MEMORIZING THE VERSE
Let Deuteronomy 30:19 inspire you this week: “I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live.” Reflect on this verse daily as you make decisions.CREATING AND MEDITATING
Choose a creative activity: Option 1: Life Map Journal. Draw a simple “life map” in your journal, charting out key decisions in your life that led to growth, blessings, or alignment with God. Include Scriptures, reflections, or even prayers for guidance in current or future decisions. Option 2: “Choose Life” Scripture Art. Create a piece of art featuring Deuteronomy 30:19. Use calligraphy, painting, or digital tools to design a visual representation of this verse. Surround it with symbols of life and blessing, such as trees, rivers, or a family. Place it somewhere visible to remind yourself of the importance of choosing God daily.TAKING ACTION AND APPLYING
This week, make a conscious effort to “choose life” in your decisions. Prioritize time with God in prayer and Scripture, seek ways to bless others, and resist choices that pull you away from His will. Encourage someone in your family or community to make godly choices by sharing this verse and its message of hope.
Hymn
I’ll Live for Him
1 My life, my love I give to Thee, Thou Lamb of God who died for me; O may I ever faithful be, My Savior and my God!
Refrain: I’ll live for him who died for me, How happy then my life shall be! I’ll live for him who died for me, My Savior and my God!
2 I now believe thou dost receive, For Thou hast died That I might live; And now henceforth I’ll trust in Thee, My Savior and my God! [Refrain]
3 O Thou who died on Calvary, To save my soul and make me free; I’ll consecrate My life to Thee, My Savior and my God! [Refrain]

Closing Prayer
Lord, we choose life by choosing You. Help us to walk in obedience, love, and faith each day. May our decisions reflect Your wisdom and lead us closer to You. Bless our families and future generations with Your abundant life. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

ABOUT OUR MINISTRY
We are a non-denominational Bible-believing Christian Ministry trained and equipped at the Christian Leaders Institute. Even though our Ministry is based on God's Word, the Bible, you need to approach our teachings like the Bereans and always study the Bible yourself to see if what we teach is aligned with what is written in the Bible.
Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Acts 17:11 NIV
We are only humans who 'stumble in many ways' (James 3:2) and we only 'know in part and we prophesy in part' (1 Corinthians 13:9).
