Weekly Creative Devotional
Opening Prayer
Dear Lord, as we dive into 2 Peter this week, stir our hearts to grow deeper in our faith. Help us embrace the journey of spiritual maturity, learning to rely on Your grace and seek Your wisdom daily. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
READING
2 Peter 3:18
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
REFLECTION
Peter’s words remind us that spiritual growth is a continuous process, one that involves both grace and knowledge. We aren’t expected to reach maturity overnight, but we are called to be intentional about our growth. As we deepen our understanding of Christ and lean into His grace, we become better equipped to navigate life’s challenges, honoring God in the process. Consider:- In what ways have you seen yourself grow spiritually over the past year?
- How can you create space in your daily routine to focus on God’s grace and wisdom?
MEMORIZING THE VERSE
This week, let 2 Peter 3:18 (ESV) guide you: “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.” Keep this verse close as you reflect on your spiritual journey.
CREATING AND MEDITATING
Choose a creative activity: Option 1: Create a “Spiritual Growth Tree.” Draw or craft a tree with branches representing different areas of your spiritual life (e.g., prayer, Scripture study, serving others). As you grow in these areas, add leaves to the branches as a visual reminder of your spiritual progress. Option 2: Find a quiet space to meditate on God’s grace. Focus on the ways God’s grace has been evident in your life, and ask Him to reveal areas where you need to grow. Journal your thoughts and prayers as you seek to deepen your relationship with Christ.TAKING ACTION AND APPLYING
This week, actively pursue opportunities for spiritual growth. Whether it’s committing to daily Scripture reading, joining a Bible study, or spending more time in prayer, make intentional steps to grow in grace and knowledge. Remember, spiritual maturity is a process, and each step brings you closer to Christ.
Hymn
More About Jesus
1 More about Jesus would I know, More of His grace to others show; More of His saving fullness see, More of His love who died for me.
Refrain: More, more about Jesus, More, more about Jesus; More of His saving fullness see,
More of His love who died for me. 2 More about Jesus let me learn, More of His holy will discern; Spirit of God, my teacher be, Showing the things of Christ to me. [Refrain]
3 More about Jesus in His Word, Holding communion with my Lord; Hearing His voice in ev’ry line, Making each faithful saying mine. [Refrain]
4 More about Jesus on His throne, Riches in glory all His own; More of His kingdom’s sure increase; More of His coming, Prince of peace. [Refrain]
Words: E. E. Hewitt, Music: John R. Sweney
Closing Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for the call to grow in both grace and knowledge. Teach us to value the process of spiritual maturity, and guide us as we seek to know You more each day. May our lives reflect Your love and wisdom. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

ABOUT OUR MINISTRY
We are a non-denominational Bible-believing Christian Ministry trained and equipped at the Christian Leaders Institute and Axx Bible College. Even though our Ministry is based on God's Word, the Bible, you need to approach our teachings like the Bereans and always study the Bible yourself to see if what we teach is aligned with what is written in the Bible.
Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Acts 17:11 NIV
We are only humans who 'stumble in many ways' (James 3:2) and we only 'know in part and we prophesy in part' (1 Corinthians 13:9).
