Opening Prayer
Gracious God, as we gather in this sacred moment, open our hearts to the wisdom of Zechariah’s words. May we find joy and hope in Your promises. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
READING
Zechariah 9:9
Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, Daughter of Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
REFLECTION
Reflect on the prophetic words of Zechariah 9:9. Imagine the scene of the King entering Jerusalem on a donkey. What significance does this have for you, and how does it inspire rejoicing in your own life?MEMORIZING THE VERSE
Commit Zechariah 9:9 to memory. Let this verse be a source of joy and a reminder of God’s promise of a righteous and victorious King.CREATING AND MEDITATING
In this part of the devotional, you have the option to choose between two creative activities:- Rejoicing Artwork: Create an artwork that captures the essence of rejoicing. Use colors and symbols that represent the joy found in the promise of the righteous King.
- Joyful Journaling: Start a journal dedicated to recording moments of joy and gratitude in your life. Write about the ways you’ve experienced God’s victory and righteousness.
TAKING ACTION AND APPLYING
Consider practical steps to live out the joy of God’s promises:- Spread Joy: Purposefully spread joy to others through acts of kindness, encouragement, or expressions of love.
- Reflect on God’s Faithfulness: Take time to reflect on instances where God has been faithful in your life. Share these stories of victory with others.
- Celebrate God’s Righteousness: Seek opportunities to celebrate and worship God for His righteousness. Attend a worship service or spend intentional time in prayer and thanksgiving.
Hymn
Ride On, Ride On in Majesty
1.
Ride on, ride on in majesty! Hear all the tribes hosanna cry; O Savior meek, pursue Your road with palms and scattered garments strowed.
2.
Ride on, ride on in majesty! In lowly pomp ride on to die. O Christ, Your triumphs now begin o’er captive death and conquered sin.
3.
Ride on, ride on in majesty! The host of angels in the sky look down with sad and wond’ring eyes to see th’approaching Sacrifice.
4.
Ride on, ride on in majesty! Your last and fiercest strife is nigh. The Father on His sapphire throne awaits His own anointed Son.
5.
Ride on, ride on in majesty! In lowly pomp ride on to die, bow Your meek head to mortal pain, then take, O Christ, Your pow’r and reign.
Words: Henry Hart Milman, Music: ST. DROSTANE (Dykes)

Heavenly Father, we rejoice in the promise of a righteous and victorious King as foretold by Zechariah. As we conclude this time of reflection, may our hearts be filled with the joy that comes from trusting in Your promises. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

ABOUT OUR MINISTRY
We are a non-denominational Bible-believing Christian Ministry trained and equipped at the Christian Leaders Institute and Axx Bible College. Even though our Ministry is based on God's Word, the Bible, you need to approach our teachings like the Bereans and always study the Bible yourself to see if what we teach is aligned with what is written in the Bible.
Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Acts 17:11 NIV
We are only humans who 'stumble in many ways' (James 3:2) and we only 'know in part and we prophesy in part' (1 Corinthians 13:9).
