Weekly Creative Devotional
Opening Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, on this Mother’s Day, we celebrate the women who nurtured and loved us. Open our hearts to reflect on the image of Your unfailing love mirrored in a mother’s care. Guide us as we explore Your Word. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
READING
Proverbs 31:25-26
Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.
REFLECTION
Think about the qualities a mother embodies – strength, dignity, wisdom, and unwavering love. Consider how these qualities reflect the very essence of God’s character. Just as a mother guides and protects her children, God, our Heavenly Father, upholds us with His enduring love and care.MEMORIZING THE VERSE
Let Proverbs 31:25 be a comforting reminder throughout your week: “Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the days to come.” Meditate on these words, allowing their message of resilience and hope to take root in your heart.
CREATING AND MEDITATING
Choose a creative activity: Option 1: Write a letter to your mother, or a mother figure in your life, expressing gratitude for the ways she has nurtured you, mirroring God’s love. Reflect on specific examples where she embodied these qualities. Option 2: Create a collage or artwork representing the love of a mother and the love of God. Use colors, textures, and images that evoke these powerful emotions.TAKING ACTION AND APPLYING
This Mother’s Day, extend the love you celebrate to those around you. Reach out to someone who might be feeling lonely or unloved. Share a word of encouragement, offer a helping hand, or simply show kindness. Let the love that flows from God be reflected in your actions.
Hymn
Faith of Our Mothers
1 Faith of our mothers, living still In cradle song and bedtime prayer; In nursery lore and fireside love, Thy presence still pervades the air. Faith of our mothers, living faith, We will be true to thee till death.
2 Faith of our mothers, loving faith, Fount of our childhood’s trust and grace, Oh, may thy consecration prove Source of a finer, nobler race; Faith of our mothers, loving faith, We will be true to thee till death.
3 Faith of our mothers, guiding faith, For youthful longing, youthful doubt, How blurred our vision, blind our way, Thy providential care without. Faith of our mothers, guiding faith, We will be true to thee till death.
4 Faith of our mothers, Christian faith, In truth beyond our stumbling creeds, Still serve the home and save the Church, And breathe thy spirit through our deeds; Faith of our mothers, Christian faith, We will be true to thee till death.

Closing Prayer
Dearest God, may the love we receive from our mothers, and the even greater love You shower upon us, fill our hearts with joy and gratitude. May we, in turn, radiate Your love to the world around us. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

ABOUT OUR MINISTRY
We are a non-denominational Bible-believing Christian Ministry trained and equipped at the Christian Leaders Institute. Even though our Ministry is based on God's Word, the Bible, you need to approach our teachings like the Bereans and always study the Bible yourself to see if what we teach is aligned with what is written in the Bible.
Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Acts 17:11 NIV
We are only humans who 'stumble in many ways' (James 3:2) and we only 'know in part and we prophesy in part' (1 Corinthians 13:9).
