Weekly Creative Devotional
Opening Prayer
Heavenly Father, as we light the third Advent candle, we rejoice in the joy that Christ brings. May this time of reflection deepen our joy and anticipation. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
READING
Luke 2:10-11
And the angel said to them, ‘Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
REFLECTION
Reflect on the angel’s proclamation of joy at the birth of Jesus. Consider the universality of this joy and how it continues to impact your life. How can you share this joy with others during the Advent season?MEMORIZING THE VERSE
Commit Luke 2:10-11 to memory. Let these words inspire and guide your moments of joy and celebration.CREATING AND MEDITATING
Choose a creative activity:- Joyful Art Collage: Create an art collage that represents the theme of joy. Use images, colors, and words that evoke a sense of joy. Display the collage in a prominent place as a visual reminder.
- Community Joy Jar: Create a “Joy Jar” in your community or family. Encourage people to write down moments of joy, gratitude, or blessings and place them in the jar. Read the notes together periodically to share in the joy.
TAKING ACTION AND APPLYING
Consider practical steps to rejoice in joy:- Acts of Celebration: Plan acts of celebration throughout the week. Whether it’s singing joyous songs or sharing a meal with loved ones, find ways to celebrate the joy of Christ.
- Share the Good News: Take the opportunity to share the good news of Christ’s birth with someone. It could be through a simple conversation or a written message.
Hymn
Joy to the World
1.
Joy to the world, the Lord is come! Let earth receive her King! Let every heart prepare Him room, and heav’n and nature sing, and heav’n and nature sing, and heav’n, and heav’n and nature sing.
2.
Joy to the earth, the Savior reigns! Let men their songs employ, while fields and floods, rocks, hills, and plains repeat the sounding joy, repeat the sounding joy, repeat, repeat the sounding joy.
3.
No more let sins and sorrows grow, nor thorns infest the ground; He comes to make His blessings flow far as the curse is found, far as the curse is found, far as, far as the curse is found.
4.
He rules the world with truth and grace, and makes the nations prove the glories of His righteousness and wonders of His love, and wonders of His love, and wonders, wonders of His love.
Words: Isaac Watts, Music: George Frederick Handel

ABOUT OUR MINISTRY
We are a non-denominational Bible-believing Christian Ministry trained and equipped at the Christian Leaders Institute. Even though our Ministry is based on God's Word, the Bible, you need to approach our teachings like the Bereans and always study the Bible yourself to see if what we teach is aligned with what is written in the Bible.
Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Acts 17:11 NIV
We are only humans who 'stumble in many ways' (James 3:2) and we only 'know in part and we prophesy in part' (1 Corinthians 13:9).
