Kingdom Devotional – When Doctrine Misleads: The Church Has Not Replaced Israel

be aware of false preachings and teachings

My Personal Reflection

I have noticed a troubling teaching circulating on Social Media, claiming that the Church has replaced Israel in God’s plan. This idea, called “replacement theology,” is not only biblically inaccurate, but it can lead to spiritual confusion. The truth is that the Church has not replaced Israel. Believers from all nations are ingrafted into Israel, sharing in the covenant blessings God promised to His people.

Biblical Reflection on God’s Faithfulness to Israel

God’s covenant with Israel is eternal. From Abraham to Isaac and Jacob, God promised to bless their descendants and to fulfill His purposes through them (Genesis 12:1–3, Romans 11:1–2). Paul makes it clear that God has not rejected His people, Israel, and that His promises remain sure:

“God has not rejected His people whom He foreknew.”Romans 11:2 (ESV)

The Church has not replaced Israel. Rather, the Church exists alongside Israel in God’s plan, as a spiritual body made up of both Jews and Gentiles who believe in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:11–22). Believers from the nations are ingrafted into Israel, sharing in the rich root of God’s covenant promises:

“If some of the branches were broken off, and you, a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root of the olive tree, do not boast over the branches.”  – Romans 11:17 (ESV)

To claim otherwise is to deny God’s faithfulness and the ongoing role of Israel in His redemptive story. God’s covenant promises remain sure, and the Church’s place is a gift of His grace.

What Kingdom Truth-Living Looks Like

  • Honor God’s promises to Israel (Romans 11:28–29).
  • Stand firm in Scripture, not social trends (2 Timothy 3:16–17).
  • Avoid teaching or repeating doctrines that contradict God’s Word.
  • Celebrate the Church and Israel as distinct yet unified in God’s plan (Galatians 3:28–29).
  • Pray for discernment for yourself and others, to recognize truth and reject error.

Related Scriptures

  • “God has not rejected His people whom He foreknew.”Romans 11:2 (ESV)

  • “For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.”Romans 11:29 (ESV)

  • “So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God.”Ephesians 2:19 (ESV)

  • “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”Galatians 3:28 (ESV)

  • “If some of the branches were broken off, and you, a wild olive shoot, were grafted in…share in the nourishing root of the olive tree.”Romans 11:17 (ESV)

Word of Encouragement

If you have ever felt confused or pressured to accept teachings that distort God’s promises, remember – God’s Word is true and unchanging. His covenant with Israel stands, and His plan for the Church is clear. Believers from the nations are included by faith, ingrafted into Israel without replacing it. Walk in truth, study Scripture, and share God’s faithfulness boldly. You can love both Israel and the Church without compromise, living in alignment with God’s eternal promises.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your faithfulness to Israel and for including us in Your covenant by faith in Jesus. Help us to reject false teachings and stand on Your Word. Teach us to honor both Israel and the Church, celebrate Your promises, and share the Gospel with humility and love. Guide us in discernment and courage to live faithfully in Your plan.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

End Times Series – Part 2: Recognizing the Signs

  signs

Why Knowing the Signs Matters

Jesus warned that in the last days, deception and confusion would increase (Matthew 24:4–5). Understanding the signs is not about fear – it’s about readiness. When we recognize what is happening around us, we can respond with faith and wisdom instead of panic or ignorance.

Biblical Signs of the End Times

Jesus highlighted several signs to help His followers remain alert:

  • Wars and Conflicts: Nations rising against nations, unrest and political turmoil.

  • Natural Disturbances: Famines, earthquakes, and unusual natural events.

  • Moral and Spiritual Decline: People turning away from God, lawlessness, and deception.

  • Persecution of Believers: The faithful facing trials for their allegiance to Christ.

He said:

“See that no one leads you astray. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray.”Matthew 24:4–5 (ESV)

These signs are not meant to paralyze us. They are meant to sharpen our discernment, deepen our faith, and remind us that God’s plan is unfolding exactly as He promised.

How to Respond

  • Stay rooted in Scripture so you can recognize truth from deception (2 Timothy 3:16–17).

  • Pray for wisdom and discernment daily (James 1:5).

  • Live holy and purposeful lives, reflecting Christ to the world.

  • Encourage others to remain watchful and steadfast in faith.

Word of Encouragement

Even as the world grows darker, God’s light shines brighter in His people. Recognizing the signs doesn’t lead to fear – it leads to hope. We can stand firm, knowing that Jesus is in control and that His return is certain.

ABOUT OUR MINISTRY

We are a non-denominational Bible-believing Christian Ministry trained and equipped at the Christian Leaders Institute and Axx Bible College. Even though our Ministry is based on God's Word, the Bible, you need to approach our teachings like the Bereans and always study the Bible yourself to see if what we teach is aligned with what is written in the Bible.

Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Acts 17:11 NIV

We are only humans who 'stumble in many ways' (James 3:2) and we only 'know in part and we prophesy in part' (1 Corinthians 13:9).
