This is the basic foundation of Christian Faith:

1. Faith In/Relationship with One God Who Exists in Three Persons, the Trinity

The Christian faith is based on our faith in and relationship with one God who exists in three persons – the Trinity.

  trinity

The Trinity consists of God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit.

god

God is

  • the creator of our universe
  • eternal
  • always the same
  • our Lord
  • holy
  • righteous
  • good
  • full of love
  • almighty
  • our Father
  • omniscient (knowing everything)
  • omnipotent (having unlimited power)
  • omnipresent (present everywhere at the same time)

2. Our Relationship with God Is Disrupted by Sin

Our relationship with God is disrupted by sin, the transgression of the law of God. Since the fall of man in Garden Eden, all men are born with a sinful nature.

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23

3. God Offers His Gracious Gift of Salvation

salvation

God offers salvation

1) through His Son Jesus Christ who died on the cross for our sins.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

2) All we need to do is accept God’s offer of forgiveness and His lordship over our lives.

3) Believing in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior saves us from the punishment of sin and restores our relationship with God. Instead of eternal death, we receive eternal life.

4. Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior

Jesus Christ

  • is the Son of God
  • was conceived and born of a virgin called Mary through the power of the Holy Spirit
  • means “the one who saves”
  • took on human form while remaining God
  • proclaimed the good news of God’s salvation plan
  • did signs and miracles
  • died on the cross for our sins
  • resurrected from death after three days and appeared to His disciples
  • will come back to judge humanity and to create a new heaven and a new earth for His children

5. The Holy Spirit, Our Comforter, Helper, and Counselor

holy spirit

The Holy Spirit

  • is the third person of the trinity, besides God the Father and God the Son
  • was involved in the creation of the world
  • makes believers “born again”
  • dwells in believers and transforms them into people after God’s heart
  • guides and protects the Body of Christ
  • equips us with spiritual gifts for serving both God and the Body of Christ

6. Eternal Life

eternal life

  • This world is only temporary. It will pass away.
  • God will create a new heaven and a new earth.
  • In this new world, there will be no more sin and death.
  • Only people who have accepted God’s offer of salvation through His Son Jesus Christ will inherit eternal life in God’s presence.
  • Whoever rejects God will be cast out and face eternal punishment in hell.
  • It is crucial to know God and surrender to Him while on this earth.

7. The Bible

bible

  • The main source of information about the Christian faith is the Bible.
  • This is God’s Word to us, written down by human authors who were inspired by the Holy Spirit, and transmitted over the centuries.
  • It teaches us all we need to know about God and about living as a Christian.

ABOUT OUR MINISTRY

We are a non-denominational Bible-believing Christian ministry trained and equipped at the Christian Leaders Institute. Even though our ministry is based on God's Word, the Bible, you need to approach our teachings like the Bereans and always study the Bible yourself to see if what we teach is aligned with what is written in the Bible.

Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Acts 17:11 NIV

We are only humans who 'stumble in many ways' (James 3:2) and we only 'know in part and we prophesy in part' (1 Corinthians 13:9).
